Jolanta Rudzka Habisiak

Artist; Professor; Rector of the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts Łódź |POLAND|

Jolanta Rudzka Habisiak studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Łódź (today the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts Łódź) where she obtained her diploma in the Studio of Tapestry in 1985. She holds the title of professor and manages the Studio of Interior Object, Carpet and Tapestry in her alma mater. Her main area of interest is textile art. She creates objects and installations and experiments with traditional graphic techniques to find new solutions. She has wide experience in carpet design for industry.

She has taken part in over 170 collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad and has had over 32 individual exhibitions. She has received many prestigious awards, has been involved in the activities of various foundations, associations and has been a curator and juror during numerous exhibitions. Currently, after a reelection, she holds the position of the Rector for the term of office for the years 2016 - 2020.

Anet Brusgaard

Artist, Designer |DANMARK|

A tapestry weaver with a classic background based in Copenhagen. She graduated from Denmark’s Design School and trained at École Nationale d’Art Décoratif d’Aubusson, France.

Her main field is tapestry, basse lisse and haute lisse, but she was also one of the first in Denmark to established a handtuft - workshop in the late 1980s designing and  producing contemporary rugs. She is still producing rug designs which are handmade in Nepal.

Head of  the secretariat of the  European Tapestry Forum which organizes the ARTAPESTRY exhibitions and masterclasses.

She exhibits nationally and  internationally and has participated in many group exhibitions, biennials, as well as triennials.

She has taught at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and at the Design School and has run courses.

A textile artist, lecturer and colour consultant who studied at Edinburgh College of Art and the Royal College of Art in London. She has taught at several art schools in the UK including the Glasgow School of Art. In parallel with teaching commitments she has exhibited in the UK, Europe, Japan and the USA. More recently her tapestry ‘The Soft Machine’ won the prize for innovative work at Artapestry 4. She has been successful in winning awards including a Creative Scotland Award.

Małgorzata Szczepańska

Interior stylist, designer and photo shoot producer |POLAND|

Małgorzata Szczepańska is an interior stylist, designer and photo shoot producer. For over ten years she has been connected with women’s press and interior decoration magazines. She has cooperated with photo agencies and studios preparing independent advertising, interior design and fashion sessions. She has worked on the realization of advertising campaigns of such companies as Plus and Procter&Gamble for the Leo Burnett Agency. She has interviewed many people connected with the world of culture, art and design. She has been a moderator of thematic panels, conferences, lectures and workshops. In 2016 she was a consultant during a meeting for fashion and business sectors ‘Stwórz i Sprzedaj’ organized within the framework of Gdynia Design Days Festival. She has been the ambassador of the Kids Design Space project in Wrocław co-financed by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. She is the originator of a competition for young designers ‘Młodzi na Start’ and a jury member in national and international competitions. She participates in painting exhibitions. Her works may be found in private collections. She is the author of illustrations for the Museum and Institute of Zoology.

Since 1998 she has been the editor-in-chief and since 2014 the creative director of the international magazine Elle Decoration.
